Consumer goods industry:

The consumer goods industry, as a traditional strong sector and an important industry related to people's livelihood, has operated generally steadily in the first quarter. At the press conference, Tao Qing, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the director of the Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau, introduced that in the first quarter, the added value of the consumer goods industry above the designated size increased by 5.1% year-on-year, accounting for 27.9% of the total added value of the designated-size industrial enterprises. From January to February, the operating income of the consumer goods industry reached 5.1 trillion yuan and the profit was 310.6 billion yuan, accounting for 24.3% and 30.3% of the total operating income of the designated-size industrial enterprises respectively. In terms of exports, the export value of consumer goods manufacturing products denominated in RMB accounted for 17.7% of the total export value. 

In terms of policy deployment, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "Implementation Plan for Enhancing the Compatibility between Supply and Demand of Consumer Goods and Further Promoting Consumption", and accelerated the promotion of standardized announcement management in key industries such as textiles. Tao Qing stated, "During the '15th Five-Year Plan' period, we will focus on doing three things: First, issue and implement policy documents for high-quality development of light textiles and other industries, and formulate action plans for guiding the optimization and upgrading of the textile and light industry through standardization; second, accelerate the implementation of the implementation plan for enhancing the compatibility between supply and demand of consumer goods, systematically promote the construction of China's famous consumer brands, and expand product supply in areas such as health, national trends, and elderly care; third, deeply implement the 'Artificial Intelligence + Three Products' special action, accelerate the construction of dedicated large models and high-quality data sets in the consumer goods field, and develop new models such as flexible production, intelligent supply, and personalized customization."

The raw materials industry is an important support for the upstream of the textile industry chain. Zhang Yunming, the vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that in the first quarter, the added value of the raw materials industry increased by 4.6% year-on-year. Among them, the added value of the petrochemical and chemical industry increased by 7.4% year-on-year. In terms of innovation achievements, the industrial-grade product of T1200 ultra-high strength carbon fiber, independently developed by China, made its global debut. It is expected to be deeply applied in strategic emerging industries such as aerospace, low-altitude economy, and humanoid robots. In addition, high-end chemical materials such as polyetheretherketone and medical-grade polyoxymethylene are also showing rapid development trends.

The intelligent development of the equipment manufacturing industry has provided technical support for the equipment renewal and production line upgrading in the textile industry. According to Tao Qing, in the first quarter, the added value of the equipment industry increased by 6.2% year-on-year, contributing 19.4% to the growth of the industrial sector. In terms of intelligence, 197 outstanding intelligent factories have been established in the equipment industry, reducing the average product defect rate by 48.4% and increasing production efficiency by 22.3% on average. Domestic spot welding industrial robots were first applied on automotive welding lines, and the world's first five-axis聯動 wire-cutting machine with medium travel was successfully developed.
